The Virginia Conference Board of Discipleship is pleased to present St. Marks United Methodist Church with the 2025 One Matters Award. Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church awards churches in Annual Conferences that are turning zeros into positive numbers with a renewed focus on discipleship. This award, which began in 2015, is being presented to St. Marks UMC for their turnaround performance in Baptisms and Professions of Faith. The church just celebrated their 70th Anniversary by having their first Confirmation Class in 15 Years. This growth can be attributed to a dedicated congregation and their new Pastor who has brought energy to connecting with the community and supporting those in need.
